I've dreamt about walking up Carrock Fell, since I knew we would be able to see this iconic shaped hilltop from our new home, and it didn't disappoint.

How wonderful to be back in the Fells, the only sounds coming from the Swaledale Sheep and the gurgling Carrock beck. The views across from near the summit of the Blencathra and Skiddaw ,with the lonesome Skiddaw House nestled into the valley. Inspired to paint this marvellous view.

A grand Cairn sits proudly amongst the stones, with a viewpoint to behold.

Blue Skies, little wind make this a perfect day to be out in the hills. Looking back toward the summit of Carrock.
