I'm a lover of Coffee, Watercolours, Mountain Scenery and Flowers 

I've been teaching Watercolours for over 25 years, can't quite believe it

I thought up the idea of the Online Watercolour  Course to help students study and paint in their own home at their own pace.

It's such a joy , to create and I can't tell you how much it has helped me over the years.

You don't need a massive amount of materials to start, a pad of watercolour paper, a set of paints and a few brushes is the perfect start.

Getting the Pastels back into action was a joy.

I used a Cream Pastelmat paper

Memories came flooding back of times spent walking these stunning fells.

A canoe trip across Crummock to walk and scramble up the summit of Melbreak

Red Pike, a mighty top to conquer with a dip in the enchanting Bleaberry Tarn

All happy days spent in the hills, I hope this painting shows you the Love I feel for this beautiful part of Lakeland

Whilst searching for a new piece of pastel paper, which I have yet to find!!

I came across this beauty , all gently wrapped in paper.

Within seconds I remembered the day

A February afternoon, crisp and cold

Warm peach light, brightening the fell of Loughrigg

Silver Birch trees sitting on the edge of a near frozen lake

All was quiet, maybe the sound of a Goose flying by

In fact a perfect day to be outdoors savouring the magic of the Lakes.

Been a Riponian and attending the Ripon Cathedral Junior school, I have always had a infinity with this special Catherdal. You spy it from many different angles and I have a few other ideas for painting this iconic landmark.

This was inspired after a walk down the Canal, turning left and through the Wetlands, joining the River Ure, crossing at  Hewick Bridge and then Cathedral view comes into view across the fields.

Finishing the 5 mile walk along Fishergreen to the Water Rat Pub.

A super nature walk with many interesting viewpoints
